Assassin

December 1998

A young man, about 30 years old (I'll call him Brice) came to me one day asking if I would cast a demon out of him. I asked him if he knew what kind of a demon it was? He replied, “Absolutely. It’s Rage. You better have some help when you cast it out because it wants to kill you.”
I was a little surprised and somewhat amused by his quick response. This was early in our journey into the bizarre world of the supernatural. I was still new at learning and always looking out for the unusual. So, I asked him, “How do know the demon wants to kill me?”

He replied, “Because it told me it would.”

All I could say was, "Oh, okay, thank you. I'll make sure I have a strong team in place and we'll set up a time and let you know."

I called four guys who were eager to get in on the action and we agreed to get together at 1:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. One of the men I called was a local pastor in town who had heard of our ministry of deliverance and he was eager to sit in on a session to get some experience.

I can't help the mischievous smile that plays on my face when I recall the look of terror on this pastor’s face during his wild ride into “nether land.” I asked the Lord early on if I sinned against Him when I intentionally set this poor novice up for this frightful experience - an experience that forever removed from his mind any intention of ever becoming an exorcist?

The Lord said, “No.” He directed me to Psalms 16:10 that says, "In his presence everyone is joyful," and Hebrews 1:9 says, "Your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than anyone else." He said to me, “My Father and I both enjoy good humor. We had not called this pastor to the deliverance ministry, so this experience just helped him to see that.”

Now I know you are probably skeptical that I really had that conversation with Jesus, but I did. I know I'm weird. Jesus even reminds me from time to time that He made me to be weird. Not as weird as my wife, but still somewhat weird. In all honesty, I'd much rather be weird than boring. I once heard an old Indian say, "I like being crazy. It keeps me from going insane." That made good sense to me.

What happened next was over with so quickly I didn't even have time to evaluate the experience. Once the battle started, it was all hands on deck. I bound the strongman and commanded Rage to leave. The demon came out of his chair so fast he knocked me backwards, crawled over the chair and grabbed me around the throat, all the while screaming over and over, “I'll kill you, I'll kill you, I'll kill you."  Staring into those black eyes of hell left no doubts he meant to do just that.  It was definitely a chilling moment.

I really appreciated how fast the guys reacted. They jumped out of their chairs, grabbed Brice from behind and jerked him off of me. I quickly got to my feet and yelled, "Get him on the floor!" Five two hundred pound bodies dog-piled him so fast the demon was unable to evade us and we took him to the floor. He just didn't realize this wasn't our first barbeque.

The pastor followed my command in helping us take down the demon, but he was white as a sheet. You could have parked a Diesel truck in his eyes they were so huge with fright. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. I told the men to each grab an arm or leg and use their body weight to keep the demon pinned down. The pastor was in shock, but he managed to lay his chest on top of Brice's left hand and arm so he couldn’t move. We now had this demon spread-eagle with eight hundred pounds of body weight pressing down on him while I’m over his head looking into his face and commanding the demon to leave.

One thing I have learned in this ministry is that demons can tell if you are afraid and this pastor was beyond petrified. The demon turned his face away from mine staring into the pastor’s eyes (no more than six inches away), and then lifted his total body weight about half a foot off the floor saying, “You're a little wimpy, aren't you preacher boy?"

I didn't think his eyes could get any bigger without exploding, but they did. He was scared spit less. In all fairness, I believe some of the other team members were a tad bit nervous and grateful the demon hadn't singled them out. They had just seen this piece of garbage take me down with his hands around my throat, ready for the kill. I thought I was being real cautious, but was totally caught off guard.

We fought this demon for three hours with him mocking and threatening to kill us when he got loose. We were not only casting out Rage, but also his army during the session. He would wrestle us from one side of the room to the other for ten to fifteen minutes and then Brice would start coughing and gagging as a bunch of demons left. However, Rage didn't seem much weaker than when we started.

When we were totally exhausted, I finally started calling Brice's name until he regained consciousness and Rage went down. The first thing Brice asked was, "Is he gone?”

I said, “No, but I believe he is getting weaker.” Brice was disappointed, but he agreed to meet again on a Wednesday night after the church service. The pastor from the other church declined to join us.  He said his Wednesday night service runs late so he wouldn't be able to make it. In fact, his schedule stayed pretty busy from then on.

I invited six men to join us and we started the Wednesday night session. I had Brice lay on his back with the men holding his arms and legs before I spoke to Rage. I commanded him to leave Brice and the show started again. He wrestled and rolled trying to break free all the time shouting that he was going to kill us. He started digging Brice's heels into the carpet and pushing him across the floor dragging the guys with him. This went on for a few hours, but we were driving out his army just like before. About every 10 to 15 minutes more of the demon-army would leave.

About midnight we began to see him tiring. Then he suddenly announced there was a demon in this man that was so powerful we would tremble if he spoke his name. I said, “Try us. Tell us his name. Were not afraid to hear.”

He replied, “I’m not allowed to speak his name. It will make you terrified.”

From that point on we made the demons tell us who they were before they left. There was a whole menagerie of demons working under Rage. They identified themselves as violence, murder, anger, rage, lying, dishonesty, lust and a whole pack of others.

At about 1:00 am Rage told us that we had cast out his whole army and there was no one left to protect him or for him to sacrifice, so he was ready to leave. I told him I wasn't going to let him leave until he told me the name of that demon he said would terrify us. He said, “I told you I can’t. If I tell you the demon would kill you.”

I informed him, “We know demons can't die. They will be cast into hell at judgment day, but they don't die.” He was adamant that assassin would kill him. I said, “Okay, I know you're lying. You vermin can't die, but I'll humor you. What exactly do you mean when you say he will kill you?”

He said, “He will send me to Chamber.”

“What's Chamber?” This was a term I had never heard before. I was intrigued. I repeated, “What is Chamber?”

“It's death.”

“Listen you piece of trash. You're going to answer my question. What is Chamber?”
“It's death to us. It's a prison we are sent to and we can never come back. If we displease our master and he sends us to Limbo he can release us at a later date, but we can never return from Chamber. Even our father can't bring us back.”

I was new to all this, so I didn't put much stock into his words. I just know what liars they are, but this was interesting. I was to learn more of this place called Chamber from both an Angel of God sent to help me in 2000, and from many other demons who referred to it from time to time and trembled when they did.

He haggled with me for half an hour refusing to give up the name, but I just wouldn't take no for an answer. He finally told me if I would release him so he could run he would say its name as he left. I agreed and in a loud voice he screamed, “Assassin!” And then he was gone.

I called out, “Assassin?”

He answered, “What do you want?"

“Why do they call you that?”

“I'm a voodoo spirit. I was sent on an assignment from my master.”

“Why was there an assignment?”

“Because this man made a pact with my master.”

This got everyone's attention. I asked him, “What was the pact?”

“His father was robbed and killed by five men in a drug deal. Four of them went to prison but the other one got probation for testifying against the other four. This man was angry and swore he would kill all five of them. My master entered into covenant with him.”

“So your master sent you to kill these men?”

“Yes.”

“Have you killed any of them?”

He started to laugh hideously, and said, “You want to know the first thing I killed when I entered this man?”

“You want to tell me, so go ahead.”

“I killed his affections. He has two small kids and he's unable to feel any affection for them.”

“Have you killed any of those five men?”

“One.”

“How?”

“I incited this man to follow him until he caught him violating the terms of his probation. Then I sent him to the District Attorney to demand his probation be revoked and sent to prison. That influenced the DA to agree and when the man was sent to prison Brice called one of the men he had testified against to tell him he was arriving. The man killed him as soon as he arrived."

I had heard all I wanted to hear from this piece of garbage, so I said, “Are you going to put up a fight to stay?”

“No. There's no reason. I have no one to work with. You have cast out Rage and his army and I'm the only one left. I want to leave.”
“Then go,” I said.

Brice started coughing and gagging for a few moments and it was all over. He regained consciousness.

“Is he gone?” Brice asked.

“Yes, he's gone. Brice, have you ever murdered anyone?”

“No, I'd never do that.”
"The demon we cast out of you called Assassin says you did. He says you entered into covenant with his master to kill the five men who killed your dad. Did you call a prisoner in prison and tell him that the one who testified against him would be arriving on a certain day?"

He dropped his eyes and whispered, “Yes.”

“You killed him. If I were you, I wouldn't want to stand before God with that sin on my conscious. I'd be doing some serious repenting, and asking God to forgive me for the sin of murder.”

“Yeah, you're right, Jess. I will do that." Brice thanked us all and left the office.

I learned a lot during that deliverance time with Brice, and I learned a lot more about a place called Chamber. When the Angel I referred to previously came in 2000, I asked him if Chamber was a real place in hell. He confirmed that it was a real place. I asked if he could show me any reference in Scripture that refers to Chamber. He said that Chamber is a name the demons have given the place, but the Scriptures refer to it in Jude 1:6 as “Everlasting Chains of Darkness.” He further explained that it is the place God has reserved for fallen angels and demons who have had judgment executed upon them and are awaiting the Great White Throne Judgment.

I asked the Angel to explain what he meant by executing judgment. He showed me in Psalm 149:6-9 where God has granted the saints authority to execute judgment upon fallen angels and demons and send them to Chamber where they must stay until the final judgment day.

Had I known about our right to execute judgment before I fought Assassin, I would have executed judgment on both him and Rage.
