Of all the demonic strongholds one may be in bondage to, Addiction is by far the most complex and most difficult to destroy. The reason this is so is due to the fact that natural human desires are being met and fed. Some of these desires one is born with while others were created as the body reacted and developed a craving for such as in the case of drugs.
As long as one holds an affection for the addiction they can never be free. They must come to see the addiction for what it is; a prison. Until they acknowledge that, while the desire is real, it is not their friend but their enemy and come to hate the addiction they will never destroy this stronghold and free themselves of the demons living there.
