School of Deliverance
Purpose
Tearing Down Strongholds School Of Deliverance is an intense three day course designed primarily for those involved in or feel God may be calling them into the deliverance ministry.
Everyone is invited to take the course but the pace is intense (15 classes in 3 days) to allow those who are serious about this ministry to learn as much as possible in a short period of time.
There are over forty classes in the school and it necessitates rotating the topics each year but we attempt to include the most common strongholds each year and rotate a few that are less common. We try to teach on at least two new topics each year.
Time limitations sometimes prevent us from delving into each topic as deeply as we would like, but hopefully we will provide you with sufficient working knowledge to equip you to meet the challenges you will face in your ministry.
Primary Goal
The goal of this course is primarily instruction to equip you rather than ministering deliverance over you. However, we have discovered freedom comes as truth enters the heart and mind.
John 8:32 says:
"You will know the truth and the truth will make you free."
We always try to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to accomplish what He has predetermined for each person He has sent here, so if we sense the Holy Spirit moving in a sovereign way, we will follow His leading.
Teaching Materials
All of these teachings are available on Mp3 downloads, CDs and some in books. If you need a crash course on any one of these subjects before the next course, you may purchase them on line or at the school.
Personal Ministry
Some may come hoping to receive personal ministry. We will do that if time permits, but our focus must remain on the teaching. Remember! Expectation in the heart is what activates faith for freedom, so expect great things and you will gain freedom when you mix your faith with the truths being taught.
Teaching Method
A method Jesus often employed when teaching his disciples was to take a real life situation and use it to stimulate the mind and raise questions. We do something similar in taking the teaching from scripture and personal experiences of others to stimulate the mind and trigger memories to expose the works of darkness in the lives of the hearers. Classes end with a short time of deliverance prayer to allow one to expel any spirits that may have surfaced because of the truths taught.
Realistic Expectations
Some may come to this school looking for answers to seeming failures in your deliverance ministry in the past. You have cast demons out of some, only to see them remain in bondage and, in some cases, walk away from God and the Church.
The deliverance ministry will not help everyone. Let me say that again. The deliverance ministry will not help everyone but neither will preaching, teaching, prophesying or evangelizing. We must not expect more from this ministry than we do from any other. Personal responsibility lies with the individual. If there is a lack of faith or trust or sincerity or determination to be free, no amount of desire or effort on our part will compensate for their lack. We must do our best and not allow the enemy to heap condemnation on us if the person is not helped by our efforts.
